Every human being wishes to be happy. The good news is that happiness is already our true Nature. This Yoga Retreat is meant to remember and abide by your peaceful state. Qualities such as contentment, clarity, and joy flow naturally from your innermost being. What we are truly looking for is ourselves. Or, as St. Francis of Assisi described it: What you are looking for is already where you are looking from. In the mornings, we will do yoga and emotional bodywork, such as circular breathing, to release the body from trauma, stress, and tension. When the body is relaxed and open, it is less likely that we identify with limiting thought patterns, and we can easily inquire into the Nature of what we timelessly are.
We will learn through meditation, Yin yoga, self-inquiry, and a once-a-day room for sharing and Q&A. Besides that, there is enough time to walk on the beach or just to rest in Being. We will remain silent for one day, except for one sharing and a Q&A moment. This social silence invites your attention to rest in the stillness of Being, your essence. Saturday, we will refrain from socializing, reading, using the internet, and any other form of social communication. It is beneficial to keep resting our attention in the source place within, getting more and more used to being aware and observing the mind instead of getting identified with it. You are most welcome to take part in this deepening weekend if you are dedicated to self-discovery and when you are looking forward to being together in (social) silence.
